Head off to explore independently or just chill out in a café and watch the world go by. We include the must-see highlights on most of our trips, allowing you the time to explore according to your own tastes.
A big part of the experience is our small international groups. It’s these people that make travelling with us rewarding and exciting! On average there are about 6 travellers on one of our trips, depending on the destination—the maximum is usually never more than 10.
From unique home stays and hotels to sleeping moored under the stars in a tranquil meadow, our options will provide you with the most authentic experience possible and will always reflect the local character and spirit of your adventure.
At HunzaOnFoot, we encourage you to step off the beaten path, embrace the unexpected and immerse yourself in the extraordinary. Our trips embrace authentic accommodation and local transportation to bring you face to face with the world’s most fascinating cultures, customs and awe-inspiring wildlife.
With the largest variety of destinations, departure dates and an unparalleled choice of trip styles and service levels designed to meet all tastes, ages and budgets, we’re certain there’s a HunzaOnFoot trip for you.
Sometimes it’s just more convenient and comfortable to have your own room, which is why we offer single travellers a ‘Single Room/Tent Supplement’ option—a single room all to yourself at a great price.*
Having said that, this option is not always available and depends entirely upon availability of rooms at the time you register with us.
Travellers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. However, we would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. Although we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf; what we can do is assist you with a visa invite letter. If you do require a visa you can arrange them yourself or use the services of a travel agent or a visa processing company.
We always recommend packing as light as possible however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Our 'Trip Details' documents includes a suggested packing list and these are sent once you register for one of our adventures. The checklist is tour specific and based upon the experience of our ground staff.
Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels. Please contact us for price information. If we are unable to provide you with the extra nights we will give you the name of a hotel you can contact directly. Please also note that extra accommodations must be booked outside of 30 days of departure.
Tips are not included in the tour price and tipping is entirely at your discretion. Our Trip Details documentation includes suggested tipping amounts and these will be sent to you once you have registered for one of our adventures.
We keep our group sizes smaller than other companies so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our team leaders and local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not be over crowded and take away from a personalised experience. You can expect up to 10 travellers on a trip but the average is six.
Sure! We love to work with individuals who share our passion to capture footage from their time in the mountains with us. However, unlike pre-COVID, we are not offering any barters at this time.
We hope you understand and respect the fact that we are a small travel company and in order to survive after losing more than seven months of business, adventure travel can be expensive and it is too great a burden for us to bare at this point.
We do offer certain discounts for content creators on select expeditions and journeys, certain terms and conditions do apply.
Like you, we are also travellers and understand the importance of having a grip on our expenses both while we plan, as well as during our travels.
What you get is pretty simple, you get the best hotel/cabins in the region we are overnighting. You get the best, cleanest meals that are tailored to our groups (we check your dietary needs if any), we have the most reliable vehicles and our guides are trained in emergency first aid. In most cases our packages include roundtrip airfare, which itself takes up a large percent of the tour cost.
Sounds like an excellent idea! But before we go any farther, please note that we do not believe in leaving a very large footprint in the wild, hence if you are looking for us to take any more than 20 persons at a time, we are not the right company for you.
On the other hand, if you'd like, we can arrange for multiple retreats of 20 persons each and ensure that everyone get the same experience from their time with us in the mountains.
Respecting the outdoors is our number one priority, even if that means we lose some business!
